Parents & Students of A+:
As most of you know the APCS Board of Trustees has been diligently working to consolidate our property in order to develop our formal educational facilities and campus. To date the school's benefactor, the Maumelle Foundation for Education, has completed the acquisition of all properties currently associated with the existing campus. Further, the Board of Trustees and school Administration has retained the services of Jackson, Brown & King Architects to begin site planning and prepare the campus design.
In order that both the facilities committee and the facilities design team receive the broadest input from our constituents throughout this process, we have created the attached preliminary survey. Please review and complete the attached document. When you are finished completing the form, click "Submit Form" atop the page to return it. Your feedback will be automatically and electronically delivered to the facilities committee for review and inclusion throughout the design creative process of the project.
So that we can ensure access of this survey to all parents and students, we are aslo making this survey available for download at http://www.academicsplus.org/parents-students/. Please be sure to share this information with fellow parents and students, or those families who are considering APCS for their pupil. However, we respectfully ask that you return this survey no later than Friday, February 20, 2009 so that we can begin analyzing all your valuable feedback and begin the design process without further delay.
In the future we will continue to seek your input regarding our designs and planning. Once preliminary designs are available it is the intent of the Board of Trustees, District and School Administration and the Facilities Design Team to showcase facility plans during a formal comment period. At that time we will also be taking comments and suggestions related to interior design, landscape and other accoutrements that will lend to creating a modern atmosphere which contributes to and encourages student learning.
Thank you for taking the time to participate in the future of APCS. Together we can - Do It The Charter Way!
