Investigating Cmte. Members,
First off let me express to all of you my personal appreciation and admiration for the challenging task that you have accepted. I wanted to advise all interested parties of the Maumelle City Appointee whom has accepted a position on the investigating body, City Alderman Hon. Mr. Doug Ladner, a long-time member of our community and city official. I have communicated his contact information to Mrs. Henson, the committee spokesperson, and encouraged her to share that information with other investigating committee members.
Following a discussion with Richard Lawrence this morning he has advised me to remind all parties that any and all member inquires regarding this investigation should be delivered directly to the investigating committee. It is okay for the trustees to be copied on these correspondence, however it is not necessary. Any member whom is a Trustee, is encouraged to communicate your questions to the committee through Richard Lawrence, who will forward your questions to the investigating committee and copy the requesting party in his forward to the investigating members.
I have already been asked to extend the deadline for delivering to the members of the corporation, the report and recommendations of the investigating body to Wednesday Sept. 23, 2009 at 6:00 PM due to the availability of various involved investigating committee members. This request is approved as requested. If any additional time is requested please advise me by 12:00 PM on Tuesday so that a proper notice of Special Meeting can be affected.
Lastly a comment about the independent nature of the body. Recognizing that this body is to be treated as completely independent and should not be subject to and external bias, particularly from those who may be potentially involved in misconduct/mismanagement as relate to the election. Therefore, having conferred with Mr. Lawrence and Maumelle City Mayor, Hon. Mr. Mike Watson, we recommend and have achieved the “Blue Room” meeting room at Maumelle City Hall, beginning at 5:00 PM Monday Evening. If there are any members of the investigating committee who are unfamiliar with this location, please contact Mr. Ladner for directions.
